NFT, short for Nutrient Film Technique, is one of the most mature recirculating hydroponic technologies for commercial agriculture. NFT Growing Channel is the exclusive cultivation pipeline customized to match NFT hydroponic systems, creating a thin, continuous film of nutrient solution flowing over plant root systems. Unlike deep-water hydroponic equipment or thick substrate troughs, this narrow, shallow channel prioritizes sufficient oxygen supply to roots while delivering balanced nutrients, making it the top choice for mass production of leafy greens, herbs, lettuce, spinach and small fruit seedlings. It has been widely equipped in intelligent multi-span greenhouses, vertical indoor farms and automated planting workshops worldwide, realizing low-water, disease-free and fast-cycle crop cultivation.

All NFT growing channels are extruded from food-grade UV-stabilized modified PVC raw materials without toxic heavy metal additives, complying with international agricultural food safety standards. The special anti-aging formula withstands long-term exposure to high temperature, high humidity and strong ultraviolet rays inside greenhouses, resisting yellowing, embrittlement and permanent deformation. The material stays intact against corrosion from weakly acidic and alkaline nutrient mixtures, avoiding chemical dissolution that may harm plant roots. The ultra-smooth inner wall prevents root tangling, sludge accumulation and pipeline blockage, cutting down regular cleaning and maintenance frequency greatly. Lightweight yet rigid, the channel can be laid horizontally in single rows or stacked in multi-layer vertical frames, with a stable service life of 10 to 15 years.

The core design feature of the NFT growing channel is its shallow narrow cross-section and precise built-in drainage gradient. During production, a consistent gentle slope is molded on the channel bottom, which allows only a thin film of nutrient solution to flow through continuously. Plant roots touch the liquid film to absorb water and minerals, while most root mass remains exposed to circulating air to absorb abundant oxygen. This structure effectively solves the common root rot problem caused by hypoxia in deep water culture, speeding up crop growth and shortening the whole harvesting cycle. The surplus nutrient liquid flows into collection pipes to form a fully closed recycling system, cutting water consumption by over 80% and fertilizer waste by more than half compared with traditional soil planting, achieving green and resource-saving agricultural production.

Matched with hot-dip galvanized adjustable support brackets, the NFT channel adopts an elevated layout that completely isolates crop roots from ground pathogens, nematodes and damp soil. The incidence of soil-borne diseases such as fusarium wilt and root rot drops sharply, which drastically reduces pesticide usage and produces residue-free, high-quality green vegetables. The modular splicing design enables fast on-site assembly without complicated construction tools, and channel length, width and depth can be fully customized according to greenhouse span, planting density and crop varieties.

NFT growing channels support both single-layer flat planting and multi-layer vertical three-dimensional layouts. Vertical stacking maximizes greenhouse vertical space, increasing effective planting capacity by 2–3 times without expanding land occupation. The standardized ergonomic height lets farmers complete seedling replacement, inspection and harvesting in a standing posture, lowering labor intensity and improving daily working efficiency.
