Product Details

Soilless Culture Trough is a standardized modular cultivation equipment developed to replace traditional soil ridges in modern commercial greenhouses. It applies substrate culture and circulating hydroponic technology to solve stubborn agricultural problems such as continuous cropping obstacles, soil-borne nematodes, root rot and low land utilization. Widely suitable for tomatoes, strawberries, cucumbers, peppers and various leafy greens, this trough has become essential supporting hardware for multi-span intelligent greenhouses, energy-saving solar greenhouses and vertical planting farms. It builds a clean, controllable and high-efficiency growing environment to support stable high-yield production all year round.

Made of food-grade UV-modified PVC raw materials, the soilless culture trough guarantees crop safety and long service life. No toxic heavy metal additives are contained, so it will not release harmful substances into nutrient solutions. Special anti-aging components are added during extrusion to resist long-term high temperature, high humidity and intense ultraviolet radiation inside greenhouses, effectively preventing yellowing, embrittlement and deformation. Different from metal cultivation equipment, PVC material will not be corroded by acidic and alkaline nutrient liquid. Its smooth inner wall avoids substrate residue and root winding, greatly reducing regular cleaning and unclogging work. Lightweight yet structurally solid, the trough supports both ground horizontal layout and multi-layer suspended vertical installation, with a service life reaching 10–15 years.

The core functional design is the integrated gradient drainage structure at the bottom. A stable gentle slope is preset to guide surplus nutrient solution to centralized recovery pipelines, forming a fully closed water and fertilizer circulation system. Compared with open field soil planting, this design saves over 70% water and nearly half fertilizer, and eliminates nutrient runoff pollution. Continuously flowing liquid delivers balanced nutrients and dissolved oxygen to root zones, accelerating crop growth, shortening harvest cycles and improving fruit uniformity and taste.

Equipped with adjustable hot-dip galvanized support brackets, the trough adopts an elevated planting mode that completely isolates root systems from underground pathogens and damp soil. The incidence of fusarium wilt and other soil-transmitted diseases drops significantly, cutting pesticide dosage and producing residue-free agricultural products that meet export and high-end market standards. For strawberries and other berry crops, ripe fruits hang outside the trough without contacting wet ground, avoiding dirt, mildew rot and insect contamination to raise commercial value obviously.

The trough supports two flexible layout modes: single-layer flat rows and multi-layer vertical stacking. Vertical installation fully exploits greenhouse vertical space, doubling effective planting density and maximizing land utilization rate. The ergonomic height allows workers to finish pruning, pollination and picking while standing, easing labor fatigue and improving operation efficiency. Modular splicing enables fast on-site assembly without complex tools, and all width, depth and length can be customized according to greenhouse span and planting scale.

Matched with water-fertilizer integrated machines, drip emitters and real-time EC/pH sensors, the whole system realizes automatic precise soilless planting management. It supports year-round continuous cropping without fallow periods and breaks seasonal planting restrictions in cold regions. With stable performance, low maintenance cost and outstanding comprehensive economic benefits, Soilless Culture Trough has become a cost-effective mainstream cultivation solution for modern commercial agriculture around the world.
