Product Details

Vertical Hydroponic Tower is a space-saving modular soilless cultivation system specially engineered for intensive planting in commercial greenhouses, indoor vertical farms and agricultural picking parks. Different from traditional horizontal hydroponic troughs and flat grow beds that consume plenty of ground area, this upright stacked column fully utilizes vertical overhead space to multiply planting output within limited floor space. It is widely applied for mass production of lettuce, spinach, basil, microgreens and dwarf strawberries. By abandoning soil completely, the tower eliminates common farming troubles such as soil-borne nematodes, root rot, continuous cropping obstacles and massive waste of water and fertilizer, supporting stable, residue-free and year-round crop cultivation for modern industrial agriculture.

The whole vertical hydroponic tower is assembled from food-grade UV-stabilized modified PVC modules without toxic heavy metal precipitation, fully complying with international food safety standards for agricultural products. Special anti-aging additives are blended into raw materials to resist long-term exposure to high temperature, high humidity and strong ultraviolet radiation inside greenhouses, effectively preventing plastic yellowing, embrittlement and permanent deformation after years of continuous operation. The material stands corrosion from acidic and alkaline nutrient solutions, and smooth internal flow passages avoid root tangling and sludge buildup, greatly cutting the frequency of daily cleaning and pipeline unclogging. Lightweight split components enable low-cost transportation and fast on-site splicing, delivering a reliable service life of 10 to 15 years.

Its core operation principle relies on top-to-bottom gravity nutrient film circulation. A circulating pump sends blended nutrient liquid to the tower’s top distribution layer, and the solution flows down each tier along narrow built-in channels under gravity to form a thin liquid film covering plant root bottoms. Roots absorb water and essential mineral nutrients from the flowing film, while most root tissues stay exposed to circulating air to absorb ample dissolved oxygen, fundamentally reducing the risk of hypoxia-induced root rot often seen in deep water culture. Excess nutrient liquid converges to the bottom water tank for repeated cycling, forming a fully closed water-fertilizer loop. This design slashes water consumption by over 90% and fertilizer waste by nearly half compared with open-field soil planting, achieving energy-saving and eco-friendly agricultural production.

Evenly distributed circular planting sockets are reserved on each vertical tier to place standard net pots and fix seedlings. Each tower occupies only a tiny footprint, and dense arrangement of multiple towers can raise overall planting density by 3–5 times versus horizontal hydroponic equipment. The staggered layered layout follows ergonomic design standards; growers can finish seedling replacement, growth inspection and fruit harvesting in a standing posture without repeated bending, relieving labor fatigue and significantly improving daily working efficiency. Customization of tower height, layer quantity and planting hole count is available to adapt to various greenhouse sizes and crop types.

Matched with circulation pumps, water-fertilizer integrated machines and real-time EC & pH monitoring sensors, the vertical hydroponic tower system realizes fully automatic precise nutrient control. Operators can adjust liquid concentration and circulation frequency according to seedling, vigorous growth and fruiting stages to stabilize crop yield and improve the taste and uniformity of vegetables and berries. With zero soil contact, the infection rate of pathogenic fungi and underground pests drops sharply, pesticide usage is largely reduced, and harvested produce meets strict standards of high-end supermarkets and cross-border export markets.

Capable of non-stop annual continuous cropping without fallow periods, the vertical hydroponic tower breaks seasonal planting limits in cold regions. Featuring ultra-high space utilization, simple maintenance and outstanding comprehensive economic returns, it has become a mainstream vertical farming facility preferred by commercial growers and urban agricultural projects all over the world.
